Re-thinking Partnerships

Development requires collaboration to meet mutual interests and the Sustainable Development Goals highlight the importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships. The objective of this course is to re-think partnerships and to enhance capacity to collaborate across difference for positive social change.
 
Starting from personal experience, participants will reflect on their current approach to partnerships. Learning continues through exploration of field case studies, theory, strategies, power analysis  and innovative multi-stakeholder partnerships.  Negotiation and analysis skills will also be enhanced to ensure participants’ future collaboration is based on existing assets and strengths.
 
Ultimately the course will result in shared knowledge for intentional, equitable and effective partnerships.

Who should take the program?

This certificate is designed for those currently working in a multi-stakeholder environment and whose work could be enhanced by intentional collaboration and partnerships. Ideally, the certificate will involve participants from a variety of stakeholder perspectives: local NGOs, community groups, the private sector, funders, government, international agencies, and civil society organizations.
